Enterprise API Security startup Noname Security raised a Series B funding round of $ 60 million just six months after closing $ 25 million in Series A.

Led by Insight Partners, which also includes Next47, Forgepoint and The Syndicate Group (TSG), the round brings Noname’s total funding to $ 85 million since emerging from the stealth in December 2020.

The startup, which currently has 70 employees and offices in Palo Alto and Tel Aviv, says it has grown rapidly due to the fact that the pandemic has created a growing reliance on APIs. Of course, this proliferation of APIs has led to an increase in the number of API security incidents. For example, earlier this year an Experian API uncovered the creditworthiness of almost every American with a single one, and just weeks later, a leaky Peloton API allowed anyone to access users’ private account information directly from the company’s servers.
