Nokia and Google Cloud have expanded their collaboration to provide developers with the tools needed to create new 5G applications quickly. The Network as Code platform and developer portal will now run on Google Cloud, offering access to AI solutions and coding assistance. They will focus on healthcare use cases to show the potential of 5G.
Nokia’s Network as Code platform aims to unify telecom networks, system integrators, and developers to accelerate the development of 5G and 4G applications. It offers SDKs, network API documentation, testing simulation, and code snippets. The revenue-sharing model benefits developers, network operators, and Nokia. The platform has gained traction with 13 network operators in Europe, North America, and South America.
Ankur Jain from Google Cloud believes the collaboration will create new opportunities for developers. Meanwhile, Raghav Sahgal from Nokia is excited to enable thousands of Google Cloud developers to leverage networking capabilities for faster value creation.
Nokia has also partnered with Infobip to accelerate the development of telecommunications applications. Their collaboration will provide developers with APIs to integrate real-time communications features and 5G network capabilities. This partnership aims to simplify the developer experience and improve application performance.
