Last we heard about the Nothing Ear (1) wireless earbuds, the first product from Nothing owned by OnePlus founder Carl Pei, should hit the market this summer.
Now we have a specific date as Nothing announced that the mysterious buds will be revealed on July 27th best wireless earbuds. It only seems to be a few more weeks before we can see this for ourselves.
There is still not much we know for sure about the ear (1) other than a pair of true wireless earbuds in the style of the Apple AirPods. There is still no indication of the price or functions of the Ear (1), including support for popular earbud extras such as active noise cancellation.
The design was only hinted at: nothing revealed images of you early concept design, then posted much more abstract teasers of the likely final design in May. These obviously didn’t have much to do with the concept, whether the earbuds will use an AirPods-style stem shape or a more compact design like the new ones Sony WF-1000XM4 is everyone’s guess.
However, these are all details that should be revealed at the July 27th launch event. You can also expect a final release date provided Ear (1) doesn’t become available immediately. Worldwide availability is another question mark right now, especially for the US blog entry that the Ear (1) is being sold at Selfridges, a department store in his hometown, but the online availability information appears to have to wait for that event.
The Nothing Ear (1) reveal is scheduled to begin on July 27 at 9:00 a.m. ET / 2:00 p.m. BST. Exact times usually indicate a live stream or pre-recorded video reveal way to watch.
