No Man’s Sky for Nintendo Switch is getting a firm release date

Nobody’s heaven, Hello Games’ ambitious space epic, has finally secured a release date for the Switch. The good news is you won’t have to wait to not for long either, as it will land both physically and digitally on October 7th, 2022.

The game, which originally debuted on the PS4 in 2016, was met with a decidedly mixed reaction thanks to a number of flaws and some bold promises from the developer that didn’t materialize. In the following years, however, the overall reputation has improved significantly through numerous expansions and improvements.

It looks like these expansions will also make their way to the Switch version, including Foundation, Pathfinder, Companions, and more. That’s great news, of course, although it goes without saying that the game won’t be playable in VR given the Switch’s lack of such capabilities outside of the more limited ones Lab VR. Oh well.

Check out this box art though!
