New survey shows many Australian artists are underpaid and fearful of AI – ABC hears

Australian musicians will be celebrated at the annual ARIA Awards tonight.

But behind the glitz and glamor are many artists struggling to make ends meet, according to a new report.

The survey from Musicians Australia – a division of the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) – also shows deep concern that artificial intelligence models are robbing an already overworked and underpaid profession.
