AWS leadership announced organizational changes that will take effect on June 3. The Global Sales, Marketing, and Services (SMGS) organization has made progress in aligning teams closer to customers and moving faster. Matt Garman expressed gratitude for the teams’ flexibility and highlighted the advancements in driving business results.
The upcoming changes include the integration of global sales organizations under Greg Pearson, overseeing AWS global sales, WW public sector, Greater China region, and sales strategy and operations. David Levy, Roberto Chu, and Peter Cray will report to Greg. Rubá Borno will lead the combined Channels and Alliances team, with Jon Jones joining her. Uwem Ukpong will continue to lead the Global Services Organization, expanding to include the Sovereign Cloud team and international product management teams. Kathrin Renz will lead the AWS Industries organization, with Scott Rosecrans and his team moving to join her.
Leaders like Greg, Ruba, Uwem, Kathrin, Elizabeth Baker, Raejeanne Skillern, Peter DeSantis, Prasad Kalyanaraman, Colleen Aubrey, Werner Vogels, and Laura Grit will report to Matt Garman in the new structure. The aim of these changes is to enhance customer service, improve agility, and promote collaboration among teams.
