NetApp has introduced new features to help customers manage data-intensive workloads like GenAI and VMware environments more efficiently. The new capabilities introduced by NetApp include the NetApp BlueXP Workload Factory for AWS, which automates the planning, provisioning, and management of cloud resources for critical workloads like GenAI and VMware environments. This service helps optimize provisioning time, cost, performance, and protection of resources and enables users to migrate workloads to the cloud with ease.

The NetApp GenAI Toolkit for Microsoft Azure NetApp Files release allows customers to incorporate private corporate data stored in Azure NetApp Files into their GenAI workflows securely. This integration enhances the generation of unique and high-quality results from GenAI projects by combining proprietary data with pre-trained models.

In collaboration with Amazon Web Services, NetApp has introduced the Amazon Bedrock with Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP Reference Architecture, which helps customers implement workflows that bring proprietary data stored on Amazon FSx for ONTAP into their GenAI data pipelines. The reference architecture enables developers to connect to Amazon FSx for ONTAP data stores securely, unlocking new insights and capabilities.

Additionally, AWS has announced enhancements to the Amazon FSx for ONTAP cloud storage service, providing increased scalability and flexibility with higher throughput and support for large-scale, high-performance workloads like GenAI. NetApp has also expanded its BlueXP Disaster Recovery Support for VMFS service to support VMFS datastores for disaster recovery.
