In an environment where cash is paying again, Moomoo is rolling out a welcome bonus that combines high-yield savings with free stock incentives for new customers.
Through a limited-time promotion running through March 12, eligible users can earn up to 8.1% APY on uninvested cash and receive up to $1,000 in fractional shares of Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ:NVDA) based on their initial deposit.
The offer is available to first-time users of Moomoo and customers who have opened an account but have not yet made their first deposit.
How the 8.1% APY Works
Moomoo’s headline rate comes from a two-part structure.
New users enrolled in the platform’s Cash Sweep program earn a base rate of 3.35% APY on uninvested cash. On top of that, eligible customers receive a 4.75% booster coupon that can be activated for a 60-day promotional period.
Combined, that brings the total yield to as much as 8.1% APY for two months. The booster applies to up to $20,000 in swept cash and must be manually activated through the app. After the promotional window ends, balances continue earning at the prevailing base rate.
Funds in the sweep program are placed at partner banks and are eligible for FDIC insurance, subject to standard limits.
