I was scrolling through TikTok when an attractive, fresh-faced woman appeared on the screen selling creatine. The pitch was relaxed, confident and effective. Then I noticed something strange. In one corner of the video sat a man who quietly mimicked her movements in real time. He didn’t respond to her. He gave her instructions. The woman wasn’t real.
