Missouri Attorney General sues IBM for alleged discriminatory hiring practices

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey recently filed a lawsuit against IBM for discriminatory hiring practices based on a diversity modifier that led to unequal treatment of job applicants. The lawsuit alleges that IBM engaged in illegal practices such as implementing racial and gender quotas in hiring decisions, which are in violation of the Missouri Human Rights Act. AG Bailey is seeking to stop this behavior and ensure that both current and potential employees are protected from discrimination. The lawsuit details eight specific violations, including unlawful discriminatory practices, coercion, and retaliation against those who oppose IBM’s discriminatory practices. As the Attorney General, Bailey is committed to eliminating discrimination in the workplace and holding companies accountable for violating state and federal laws.
