Pricing details for Microsoft’s special edition 25th anniversary Xbox Series X have leaked online — and the translucent green console is just as expensive as we’d feared.
The ever-reliable billbil-kun from Dealabs has now revealed that the console will cost an eye-watering €899.99, which typically translates to the same $899.99 price point in the U.S.
A release date has also been uncovered: November 27, which lines up neatly with Black Friday. Notably, however, this is later than the October 20 launch date previously leaked for the 25th anniversary Xbox Series X controller. (You’ll also get one with the console, of course, but these will also be available separately.)
While €899.99 may sound like a lot (and it is), it’s worth putting in some context. After various price rises, this is now just €100 more than the standard Xbox Series X with a disc drive, and the same price as a standard PlayStation 5 Pro. It is also a price that may still…
