Microsoft has reportedly confirmed that it will retire Outlook Lite app for Android on May 25, 2026. According to a report by Neowin, Microsoft is ending support for the lightweight version of its email client and is now asking users to migrate to the full Outlook Mobile app. After May 25, 2026, Outlook Lite will no longer offer mailbox access. While the app may still open, emails, calendars, and attachments will only be accessible through Outlook Mobile. The report also adds that Microsoft has already stopped new downloads other than Outlook Lite since October 2025, hinting towards the phasing out of the app.
