Microsoft is ending support for its artificial intelligence-powered assistant Copilot on smart televisions made by Samsung and LG Electronics, according to messages seen by users of those devices.

LG began notifying customers about the plan this week through pop-up messages that appeared on some newer-model smart TVs, according to one message received by The Desk on an LG B5 OLED set. The website Windows Central said other LG users have also received similar messages, and Samsung has started notifying its customers about the decision as well.

The messages warned that Copilot support could end at any time, with LG saying it will be discontinued before the end of the year, though Microsoft has not released any information to that effect.
