Why buy a laptop and tablet separately when you can get both for the price of one device?
If you’re thinking of switching from MacOS to Windows 10, the Microsoft Surface Pro is one of the best 2-in-1 laptops on the market and it’s now on sale for just $699 — that’s a savings of $260. The Surface Pro usually retails for $959, but Best Buy has a pretty good deal on Microsoft’s amazing hybrid machine.
The Surface Pro has the function of a laptop with Microsoft’s Type Cover and the portability and ease of use of a tablet. The machine can take just about anything you throw at it with its Intel 7th Generation Core m3 processor and 4GB of memory, which are optimized for Windows 10 Pro and its suite of productivity apps, such as Office 365, Outlook, OneDrive, and Skype.
The 2-in-1 is designed for portability with a sharp 12-inch widescreen “PixelSense” touchscreen display and handy Signature Type Cover to go from laptop to tablet mode with ease. Although the Surface Pro only has a single USB-A 3.0 port, it includes a massive amount of storage with 128GB built-in — which is expandable with its microSDXC card reader.
The hybrid even features a 5-megapixel front camera for quick “Windows Hello” login and an 8-megapixel rare shooter with on-the-go autofocus photography. Not many laptops have built-in rear cameras, which makes the Microsoft Surface Pro stand out.
Need a second opinion? Best Buy customer Chuck writes:
“I was looking to replace a failing laptop and tablet. The Surface looked like a good compromise between the two. Since I am not a power user, the ram and memory have proven adequate for my needs. I don’t view the storage memory as a limitation as I keep my files on One Drive. Also a microSD Card can be added if local memory is needed.”
