OpenAI’s Dots agents are bringing another AI interface into Microsoft Teams, according to what Reuters reported on September 29. That gives Microsoft another route to capture enterprise AI activityand another competitor for users’ attention.
Dots run on GPT-6 Astra and can carry projects across Teams and Slack. Reuters’ report also cited OpenAI’s claim that Codex and ChatGPT Work together exceed 35 million weekly users. Sensitive actions, including password changes, require explicit approval. The pitch is straightforward: keep work moving across applications while leaving consequential decisions with the user.
