Microsoft starts selling the Samsung Galaxy A6, for some reason

Microsoft’s collection of Android phones that it sells is still growing, as the company added the Samsung Galaxy A6 today. It joins the ASUS ROG Phone, Razer Phone, Razer Phone 2, Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+, S9, S9+, S10, S10+, S10e, and Note9.

Interestingly, the news comes just weeks ahead of Samsung’s April 10th ‘A Galaxy Event’ product launch, where the company has confirmed that it will be refreshing its Galaxy A lineup. It’s clear that this is the very same model that launched last May though.

The Galaxy A6 includes a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7884 chipset, along with a 5.6-inch 1480×720 Super AMOLED display. It includes 32GB of onboard storage, 3GB RAM, and a 3,000mAh battery. Both the front and rear cameras are 16 megapixels, with an f/1.7 aperture on the back and f/1.9 on the front.

Microsoft is selling the handset for $359.99, which is $30 more than the device’s U.S. launch price of $329.99. It’s the most inexpensive smartphone that Microsoft sells, although the Razer Phone 2 is close, currently on sale for $499.99. If you want to check out the Galaxy A6, you can find it here.
