Microsoft is reportedly cutting back its sales expectations for AI (Artificial Intelligence) products in the wake of their big investment into the technology.
Windows 11 has recently come under criticism for installing AI tools and features with little input from Windows users. This has led to popular tools such as the RemoveWindowsAI GitHub script that claims to remove or otherwise disable AI powered features in Windows 11, freeing up resources.
According to ExtremeTech, Microsoft’s share of the AI market places is beginning to stagnate, with Google’s Gemini closing the gap in just two months. Now they’re reportedly scaling back their sales expectations since in a world of freemium ChatGPT and other AI apps, Microsoft isn’t exactly most peoples’ first choice.
