Microsoft is seeking approval for additional future phases of its data center campus development in Mount Pleasant, with plans that could include another 8.4 million square feet of data center space and add more than $13 billion in taxable land value to the village.
A Plan Commission agenda posted Friday afternoon outlines plans for additional data center development by Microsoft across two properties. Both represent phases beyond what the Redmond, Washington-based tech giant has already formally announced.
The first property is generally located at 12023 Durand Ave., a 791-acre site bounded by Durand Avenue to the north, Braun Road to the south and Highway 311 to the west (shown in blue on map below).
