Microsoft, partners to invest $72M in Princeton’s AI hub

Microsoft is among the partners expected to jointly invest about $72 million into an artificial intelligence development center for New Jersey, the state and Princeton University said Friday.

Gov. Phil Murphy and Princeton President Christopher Eisgruber said Microsoft had signed on as one of two new founding partners of the NJ AI Hub. The other is Coreweave, a cloud infrastructure startup based in Roseland.

Plans to establish the hub were first announced by Murphy and Eisgruber in December 2023.
