The latest Microsoft Office Insider build introduced a new account manager for Office users that allows them to handle multiple Office accounts easier.
This new account manager allows users to manage their different accounts by aligning them in a list. Users can switch easily between different Microsoft accounts without any hustle now.
Microsoft offers two kinds of accounts for Office subscription. These are Personal accounts and Work accounts. Both these accounts require a password and email to log in.
Meet the new Microsoft Office account manager
This new account manager enlists all of your Office accounts. It tells you which account you are signed in at the moment and what are the other account possibilities that you can switch to.
This means you can see either you are logged in from your personal account or company account and switch the account from personal to company account and vice versa.
The main reason to incorporate this feature is to avoid the ambiguity that the users might encounter while handling their accounts. The problem is that many users cannot understand what accounts they have and where each of them is supposed to be used.
It is ambiguous for the user to switch between personal and work account. As it is not easy for the user to differentiate whether the personal account or working account is currently logged in, as the previous account manager was incapable of performing such task.
So, Microsoft solves this ambiguity by introducing a new Account Manager for Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Project, Publisher, and Visio.
In the previous builds, if you want to switch to an account, you had to quit the active account first. The New account manager saves users from the trouble of signing out one account and then logging into another account because different accounts can now be used at the same time.
You can access this new account manager by clicking your name in the top right corner of the Office app.
