Microsoft (MSFT) Puts GitHub’s Coding Engine Inside the App Office Workers Already Use

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) added a tool called Code to its Copilot app on September 25. It lets someone build an app or a dashboard by describing it in plain language. The technology underneath is not new. It is the same engine that powers GitHub Copilot, which developers have used for years. What has changed is who gets to point it at a problem.

Microsoft also embedded Word, Excel and PowerPoint directly inside Copilot, and relaunched its Scout agent as Autopilot. The shares rose 3.66% to close at $516.17.
