The award of the $ 10 billion JEDI cloud contract to Microsoft could be revoked unless a federal judge dismisses allegations of bias against Amazon Web Services, according to a Bloomberg report.
AWS has repeatedly challenged the outcome of the contract award for the corporate joint defense infrastructure in court. The Department of Defense selected Microsoft – AWS’s biggest cloud rival – for the cloud computing contract in October 2019.

Bloomberg reported that Microsoft was “in danger” of losing the JEDI contract due to the prospect of more protracted litigation. The JEDI contract is intended to “improve the speed and effectiveness” of the US military using cloud technologies, according to the DOD.
While the DOD has been handling AWS challenges so far, the department appears to be losing patience with the delay in executing the contract, Bloomberg reported.
