Microsoft, Meta: Examining the Factors Behind Their Performance in Q4 Earnings

Several Big Tech players are set to report earnings next week, with Microsoft releasing their results on Tuesday, January 30, followed by Meta Platforms on Thursday, February 1.

CFRA Research Senior Equity Analyst Angelo Zino provided insights on the fourth quarter performance of these companies. Zino highlighted Meta’s strong recovery post-pandemic and its attractive valuation, emphasizing potential growth in digital advertising and AI. He also noted Meta’s focus on markets like China and Brazil, as well as the upcoming elections as key factors to watch.

In terms of Microsoft, Zino identified cloud, AI, and gaming as key growth drivers for the company. He expects strong performance in these areas in the December quarter, particularly in AI contribution to cloud growth. Zino also mentioned Microsoft’s recent launch of Copilot 365 as an exciting development to watch. He expressed confidence in Microsoft as a strong buy, with a 12-month price target of $440.
