GRANGER, Ind. (WNDU) – Microsoft hosted three small-group meetings Thursday with Granger residents to discuss a proposed data center near Bittersweet and Cleveland roads.

St. Joseph County Councilman Dan Schaetzle said the meetings were designed to give residents a chance to ask questions directly to Microsoft executives and get answers about the project.

News crews were not permitted inside the private focus groups. Residents who attended said afterward they no longer have concerns about the project.

Attendees said Microsoft representatives were honest and transparent and promised not to use any local tax abatements.

Microsoft is expected to hold a public meeting at a future date. No date has been announced.
