Microsoft is shipping out another Windows 10 Insider build to Skip Ahead Insiders today, but this one is a little special. Launching as build 18836, today’s release contains the first changes we’re seeing from the 20H1 development branch, which will eventually make their way to everyone in the first half of 2020.
The reason for the jump, Insider chief Dona Sarkar says in the build’s blog post, is that things being worked on for 20H1 “require a longer lead time.” Insiders will start getting 19H2 builds later this spring after testing on 19H1 builds (currently in the Fast ring) is “nearly finished and ready.”
With all of that said, here’s a look at the changes, improvements, and fixes coming along with build 18836:

As a reminder, this build is only available to Insiders who have opted into the Skip Ahead ring, which is fairly limited in space. For more, you can check out Microsoft’s full release notes at the Windows Blog.
