Microsoft brings Windows to the cloud. Windows 365 is a new service that allows businesses to access cloud PCs from anywhere and stream a version of Windows 10 or Windows 11 in a web browser. While virtualization and remote access to PCs have been around for more than a decade, Microsoft is relying on Windows 365 to deliver cloud PCs to businesses while they migrate to a mix of office and remote work.

Windows 365 works in any modern web browser or via Microsoft’s remote desktop app, so users can access their cloud PC from a variety of devices. “Windows 365 offers an instant start-up experience,” said Wangui McKelvey, general manager of Microsoft 365.
