Microsoft and Richtech give retail and service robots an AI boost

Richtech Robotics (NASDAQ: RR) announced a hands-on collaboration with Microsoft via the Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Labs to integrate agentic AI into Richtech’s ADAM robot and other real-world robotics. The joint effort enhanced ADAM with Azure AI-powered vision, voice, and autonomous reasoning for contextual, conversational, and operationally aware interactions.

The upgrade adds context signals (time of day, weather, promotions), vision models for peak-demand speed and quality, and operational alerts for ingredient or equipment issues, targeting retail, logistics, hospitality, and manufacturing without major new hardware needs.
