Meta Platforms will pay up to $27 billion ($38 billion) over the next five years for access to cloud provider Nebius Group’s artificial intelligence infrastructure as the company spends heavily to compete with the industry’s top-tier models.
Nebius, a so-called Neocloud that operates data centers and has a strategic partnership with Nvidia, will provide Meta with $12 billion worth of dedicated capacity starting in early 2027, the Dutch company said in a statement. Meta also committed to purchasing up to $15 billion in additional capacity the cloud provider is building for third-party customers.
