Melbourne Airport calls AI agents to respond to incidents

Melbourne Airport has begun using agent-based AI to respond to incidents at its airfield and terminals, including in scenarios that require a rapid response.




The airport operator’s head of data analytics, Irfan Khan, told attendees at the Sydney Microsoft AI Tour that the company has started integrating agents into its SharePoint repositories so employees can quickly follow standard operating procedures (SOP).

AI is also being used to save time in preparing shift accident reports that are forwarded to the airport operator’s senior executives.
