Maxsun showcased their lineup of MoTD (Mobile on Desktop) motherboards at Computex, featuring designs for both Intel and AMD CPUs. They currently offer options for Raptor Lake, Meteor Lake, and Ryzen Hawk Point, with plans to introduce new designs later in the year including Intel Core Ultra 200(V) Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake, as well as AMD Ryzen AI 300 “Strix Point” Chips.
The MoTD segment has gained popularity as major OEMs now offer these designs for gaming PCs, integrating mobility chips into desktop motherboards to provide value and efficiency comparable to traditional desktop offerings.
Maxsun’s current lineup includes the SK Thin Mini H45-AIO T2V with an Intel Core i7-13620H CPU, the SK-HM770-B with an Intel Core i7-14650HX CPU, and the SK-Thin mini MTL-AIO T1 155H with an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H CPU. These motherboards offer a range of cores, threads, clock speeds, and TDP options to cater to different needs.
In addition to their Intel options, Maxsun is also working on AMD motherboards such as the SK-Thin mini 8840HS-AIO T1 featuring a Ryzen 7 8840HS APU. These motherboards will be priced competitively in the $400-$500 USD range.
Maxsun plans to expand their MoTD lineup with new designs like Lunar Lake, Arrow Lake, and Strix Point in late 2024, promising improved CPU, GPU, and NPU capabilities. Stay tuned for more updates on these new offerings.
