What were the key market events this week?
Japanese stock markets reacted sharply to Japan’s election results after Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi received an overwhelming vote of confidence and her party secured a two-thirds majority, a first in the postwar period. Elsewhere in Asia, we also saw Asian technology stocks perform well, particularly semiconductor stocks in Korea and Taiwan.
