Skilled in certain areas of technology may well get you a better-paying job, according to new research from sage that found companies are willing to spend money on employees who are comfortable with cloud and AI.
With Cloud storage With cloud computing being a focus for the industry as a whole, it’s not surprising that just under two-fifths – 39% – of UK resellers selected cloud computing as a key skill for new hires, while 44% of US respondents have experience with AI or ML indicated development.
Skills such as data engineering, cyber security skills, and coding were in high demand among US employers, cited by 52%, 48%, and 45%, respectively.
What worries employers?
Sage’s study collected 1,000 responses from technology industry decision makers whose companies resell technology and IT supplies or services, with 500 respondents in the UK and 500 in the US.
