Back in March 2020 everything has changedespecially for ridesharing like Lyft. But now things are coming back – slowly.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic has closed US cities until mid-March, Ride-hailing services all but shrunk. Lyft and its main competitor Uber have both eliminated the more budget-friendly driving option to carpool with a stranger or two. But 16 months later, Lyft’s Shared Rides are back.

At least in some cities. And the trips together look different than before …
