LogRhythm Inc., a security intelligence company, has announced enhancements to its security solutions, including improvements to its Machine Data Intelligence Fabric, simplified data retention through Amazon Web Services Inc. S3, compliance frameworks for National Institute of Standards and Technology standards, and a JSON normalization wizard as part of management updates for events and security information. The Machine Data Intelligence Fabric collects, organizes, and structures diverse log sources into reliable, searchable data sets to improve research, analysis, and search capabilities, aiming to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of security operations. The data retention capabilities now include streaming logs to AWS S3 for cost-effective long-term storage and retrieval, compliance requirements, and forensic searches using cloud storage solutions. Additionally, the new version of LogRhythm includes compliance frameworks for NIST SP 800-171 and NIST CSF 2.0 standards to help security analysts generate evidence more quickly and accurately. The web-based JSON normalization wizard simplifies customizing and normalizing JSON log messages to integrate diverse log sources and improve data analysis and correlation accuracy and efficiency.
In May, it was announced that LogRhythm will merge with security intelligence and management solutions startup Exabeam Inc., with the deal expected to be completed in the third quarter, subject to regulatory approvals and closing conditions. The terms of the merger were not disclosed.
