Little Rock Regional Chamber sees Google’s Little Rock data center as needed investment

Data center development is rapidly expanding across Arkansas, and now another major project could soon take shape in Little Rock.

Tech giant Google is behind the proposal, which is still in the permit phase but already drawing strong opinions from both supporters and critics.

The proposed site would be located near the Sweet Home area and include five buildings. If approved, it would join the existing data center announced by AVAIO in Little Rock.

According to the Little Rock Regional Chamber, the project represents a major investment in the city’s future and infrastructure.

“This is an investment that will improve all of our utilities from the perspective of service, from the perspective of expansion,” said Jay Chesshir, President and CEO of the Little Rock Regional Chamber.
