Saurabh Netravalkar, a Mumbai-born cricketer, led the United States to a stunning upset victory over Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024 with a brilliant Super Over performance. The left-arm pacer defended 18 runs in the one-over tie, conceding just 13 runs to secure the victory for his team. Netravalkar, who also codes and works at Oracle, had previously played for the Indian under-19 team and moved to the US in 2015. He played one Ranji Trophy match for Mumbai and has been teammates with cricket stars like KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal. Netravalkar first faced Babar Azam in 2010 in an under-19 match between India and Pakistan. He is a graduate of Cornell University and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mumbai. Netravalkar has played 48 ODIs and 29 T20Is for the USA, making his international debut in 2019. His impressive performance against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup made him a hero in Dallas and gained him recognition on social media.
