Rumors and leaks suggest that Samsung plans to follow in Apple’s steps and Take the charger out of the packaging of the new Galaxy S21which will be announced this Thursday. Reliable leaker Evan Blass today shared pictures from the Galaxy S21 official website confirming that Samsung’s new smartphones come without a power adapter in the box.

Pale, that too leaked the entire iPhone 12 range tweeted pictures from the allegedly official website of the Galaxy S21 and S21 Ultra before the Apple event. Along with a new design, 5G support, and other improvements, the South Korean company’s new phones – just like the iPhone – won’t have a charger in the box.

In a section of the website titled “What’s in the box?” Samsung says the new smartphones “have exactly what you need” – a USB-C cable, the SIM eject tool, and a startup guide. Samsung also claims the decision was made to help the environment, which is the same as what Apple has been saying since the company removed the power adapter from the Apple Watch box last year.

The Galaxy S21 5G comes with exactly what you need – USB Type C data and charging cable, eject pin and quick start guide. Just a different way of being good for the environment.

This, of course, is somewhat contradicting what Samsung did when Apple announced the iPhone 12 line. The company made jokes on social networks after Apple removed the charger from the iPhone box, emphasizing that Galaxy smartphones still come with an included power adapter. These posts were later deleted when rumors about the Galaxy S21 surfaced on the internet.

In a similar notice today, Samsung invited its Twitter followers to watch the Samsung Unpacked event this Thursday, but the tweets were shared with “Twitter for iPhone”. The company later deleted the tweets, but it was too late.
