After a four-year hiatus, Apple has the Second generation iPhone SE in April of this year, but it seems you won’t have to wait that long for the iPhone SE 3. The device is rumored to hit the market in 2022, but we hear contradicting rumors about it.
While it was previously said to have the same design as the iPhone 8, the latest rumors claim otherwise. According to a report by MyDrivers, the iPhone SE 3 comes with a iPhone XR-like Draft. It is equipped with Touch ID and may have an LCD display. Like the iPad Air, the Touch ID fingerprint scanner should be integrated into the side button. It could run on the same A15 Bionic chipset as the one iPhone 13 Series, so we can expect further improvements on the front of the camera.
The iPhone SE 3 is also expected to be the last iPhone with an LCD display as new iPhones with ProMotion technology switch to OLED technology. The upcoming SE likely won’t have a 120Hz refresh rate, so the display improvements don’t look very promising. As for the electricity iPhone SE, it is based on the design of the iPhone 8, with a Touch ID scanner built into the home button instead of Face ID.
But some of these have been conflicting rumors since the iPhone SE 3 came out previously typed to offer a 6.1-inch display like the iPhone XR, but then the analysts Ming-Chi Kuo and Ross Young withdrew these expectations. Earlier this year, they said the iPhone SE 3 will have the same design as the current model with a home button, but the latest leak stems from the initial rumors. It’s clearly too early to know for sure, and Apple is notoriously silent about leaks and the premature spillage of detail. So it will be months before we have a more concrete idea of what is to come.
