Google’s Chrome browser is set to stop trusting certificates from Entrust due to a history of compliance failures and lack of progress in addressing issues. This decision will take effect on November 1, and users will receive a warning message when trying to access websites with Entrust certificates. Some popular websites affected include moneygram.com, merrilledge.com, and ey.com. Website owners using Entrust certificates are advised to transition to a different certification authority before the deadline. However, business customers will still have the option to use Entrust if they prefer. Google may implement similar measures with other products in the future. Details on this change can be found on Google’s website.
