Disgruntled Australian workers who have been laid off are turning to artificial intelligence tools to generate unfair dismissals and workplace grievances. Workers can file complaints in minutes, with AI chatbots reportedly telling scorned employees that they are likely to receive payouts even if their claims are unfounded.

Adam Hatcher, president of the Fair Work Commission (FWC), recently revealed that the employment tribunal was overwhelmed by AI-generated claims. The FWC has received a record number of submissions, with its overall workload increasing by more than 70 percent in three years.

HR expert Jonathon Woolfrey said Yahoo Finance Injured workers entered their situation into ChatGPT or other AI tools and often responded with an affirmative and positive response when making a claim.
