The Los Angeles County government has appointed veteran technologist Jeffrey Aguilar as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
Aguilar was named to the role this month, succeeding longtime cybersecurity expert Ralph Johnson, who held the role for three and a half years. Aguilar, who had been Deputy CISO, was appointed Acting CISO when Johnson left the district and assumed the CISO role for NantMedia Holdings LLC (Los Angeles Times).
