Kyndryl, an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner, has entered into a multi-year strategic collaboration agreement with AWS to enhance customer adoption of generative AI solutions. Together, they have established the Kyndryl and the AWS Innovation Factory to co-create Generative AI and machine learning solutions tailored for industry-specific applications in sectors such as consumer goods, retail, quick service restaurants, supermarkets, and B2B distribution.

Kyndryl Consult will play a key role in providing organizations with strategic guidance, technology stack assessments, and future state recommendations. Their Generative AI assessment process involves evaluating the current state, defining a target operating model, outlining a high-level reference architecture, and developing a transformational roadmap for quick results.

In the retail and consumer goods sector, some of the key use cases for generative AI include conversational commerce, marketing personalization, supply chain optimization, intelligent warehouse operations, retail planograms, and enhancing consumer and employee experiences.

To enable Generative AI capabilities, it is essential to start by establishing the right database platform and ensuring data quality, security, and governance. This process involves evaluating all source data, building a database platform, analyzing data compatibility with AI/ML tools, troubleshooting master data, and recommending data cleansing. Organizations can leverage AWS technologies such as Bedrock, Amazon Q, QuickSight, SageMaker, and others for their technology solutions.

Furthermore, Kyndryl will provide recommendations for data platforms, AI solutions, frameworks, and tools suitable for specific use cases. They will document the capabilities, risks, and limitations of the recommended solutions, identify areas where data and AI can drive business growth, and develop a high-level reference architecture leveraging existing technology investments. An implementation roadmap with schedules, resources, and high-level dependencies will be created, along with a detailed report highlighting priority use cases, recommendations, benefits, and challenges of the proposed solutions. Additionally, a proof of concept proposal will be prepared for applicable/prioritized use cases.

Overall, the collaboration between Kyndryl and AWS aims to accelerate the adoption of generative AI solutions in various industries by providing tailored industry-focused solutions and strategic guidance to help businesses thrive.
