A court order in Clinton County has temporarily blocked Wilmington city leaders from moving forward with a push to build a data center.The city’s planning commission was originally scheduled to vote on approving site plans during a meeting on Wednesday, but the temporary restraining order instead changed the meeting to be only informational.Amazon Web Services is proposing a 470-acre facility on the south side of the city, near U.S. 68.The company says the $25 million project would create 100 permanent jobs, but neighbors have voiced concerns about the proposal.On Wednesday, a representative from Amazon Web Services presented the company’s plans. Neighbors have voiced concerns about the potential noise and environmental impacts.The company laid out some different options to address those concerns and answered questions from commissioners.
