Four Business and Technology pathway students from Johnson High School placed in the top 10 in the state during the Fall Qualifier of the 2026 Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship.
According to the Hall County School District, Business & Technology students become proficient in certain Microsoft programs through classroom practice and then take certification tests through Microsoft.
These exams serve as a Credential of Value in the pathway. Certification means they know the programs better than the average user.
Students who placed are as follows:
1st place – Shayla Blalock – Microsoft Word
3rd place – David Zapata Diaz – Microsoft Word
8th place – Yael Huerta Merida – Microsoft PPT
9th place – Alexander Cantero – Microsoft Word
