Microsoft MSFT is giving Wall Street another reason to stay bullish on its AI strategy, with Jefferies arguing that the company’s revamped Copilot could meaningfully expand how much enterprises spend on artificial intelligence over time.
Jefferies analyst Brent Thill reiterated a Buy rating and $575 price target on Microsoft after reviewing the latest Copilot upgrades.
We view the announcement as incrementally positive and supportive of our M365 thesis, Thill said.
The biggest change is that Microsoft is pushing Copilot beyond simple AI assistance toward software that can perform longer, more complex work.
New features such as Cowork, Code and Autopilot could increase both the number of tasks Copilot handles and how frequently customers pay for AI usage.
Cowork bridges AI assistance to delegated, end-to-end work, while Autopilot extends this into proactive, persistent, and recurring execution, Thill said.
