Exclusive: A university student who was the target of a “nude photo” scandal has spoken of how the image still haunts her to this day.

Cadence, whose last name we have omitted for privacy reasons, was inundated with messages from friends telling her that pictures of themselves were being sold through an Instagram account.

The 20-year-old’s personal pictures, which were edited to show more cleavage, showed her in a blue shirt in a child’s bedroom with a caption promising nude pictures of her.

“It was my face transferred to someone else’s body,” Cadence told nine.com.au.

“At first I wasn’t really worried because no one was really (paying) and taking photos that I know of at least.

“Then I thought about it and thought, ‘They definitely still have the photos they took of me… They just sold them somewhere else.’

“I kind of freaked out…
