– If healthcare is to address the challenges and inefficiencies of cybersecurity, the overall security landscape needs to evolve by building a strong cybersecurity foundation that advocates the inclusion of employees, executives and management in the cybersecurity structure.

On Tuesday started Michael Archuleta, Chief Information Officer of Mt. San Rafael Hospital Xtelligent Healthcare Media’s digital privacy and security summit with a keynote on the evolution of cybersecurity threats in the health sector.

While the entire security process and security technology in healthcare has evolved over time, it has been sluggish in relation to other industries.

“It becomes a big problem when we see that e-commerce, oil and gas and many other industries are more advanced than healthcare in terms of digital innovation,” he said.
