The National Cyber Directorate of Israel is testing a new security benchmarking system for the security of web hosting that, if successful, could have global effects.
The program requires that website hosting services showcase the measures that have been taken to protect their customers’ sensitive data.
As with any other type of ranking system, the new benchmark scheme allows companies to determine the safest web hosting services based on the ranking of the individual services.
Depending on the outcome of the study, it might not be long before this type of ranking system gets to other countries around the world.
