According to recent reports, Intel’s Arrow Lake CPUs have been spotted in engineering sample form, with some being sold for $14 each in China. Benchmark tests have surfaced showing mixed results from one of these chips, with single-threaded performance surpassing Intel’s Core i9-13900K and even the flagship Core i9-14900KS. However, the specifics of the alleged Arrow Lake chip, such as model name and specifications, remain a mystery and may not be verified.

A screenshot from CPU-Z posted on Tieba Baidu shows performance numbers for the unidentified chip, scoring 1,143.2 in single-threaded test and 12,922.4 in multi-threaded test. The single-thread score is significantly higher than the Core i9-13900K, indicating a 26.7% performance increase. However, the multi-core score is 29.1% lower than the Core i9-13900K, suggesting that the supposed Arrow Lake chip may be a low-end or entry-level model with fewer cores and threads.

It is important to note that these results should be taken with caution, as there are many unknown variables such as clock speeds and whether the benchmark is authentic. While the performance increase is intriguing, it is too early to confirm if this signifies a significant IPC boost for Arrow Lake CPUs. More information is needed before making any definitive conclusions.
