Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has threatened to target 18 major American technology companies across the West Asia, with attacks set to begin from 8pm Tehran time today (1 April).
The military organisation named Apple, Microsoft, Google, Meta, Tesla, Nvidia, Oracle and IBM among the firms it considers “legitimate targets”, marking an unprecedented escalation in the ongoing conflict between Iran and the United States.
The IRGC advised employees to leave their workplaces immediately and urged residents within a one-kilometre radius of these facilities to move to safer areas.
The warning specifically targets the companies’ regional operations in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, where many American tech giants have established significant data centres and research facilities in recent years.
